Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 20 June 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Odontiq (the “Service”), available at odontiq.com.au and via our mobile app. “Odontiq”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Scott Rogers (ABN 97 245 817 101), a sole trader who operates the Odontiq service, based in New South Wales, Australia. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About Odontiq
Odontiq is an independent study and exam-preparation platform for the Australian Dental Council (ADC) Written Examination. Odontiq is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Australian Dental Council. All content is created for educational and preparation purposes only and does not represent official ADC examination material.
2. Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when registering, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Accounts are for a single individual and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, subscriptions are provided solely for individual use and do not grant institutional, classroom, commercial or organisational usage rights.
3. Subscriptions, free trial & billing
Odontiq offers a free tier (including a limited free-access trial), and paid Pro and Premium subscriptions billed monthly or annually. Paid subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Stripe (and, in our mobile app, by the relevant app store). By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Subscription plans automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. The renewal price and period are shown at checkout. Prices may change with notice; changes do not affect the current paid period.
4. Refunds
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first payment, contact us for a full refund. Beyond that window, payments are non-refundable except where required by the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Subscriptions purchased through an app store are subject to that store’s refund process. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. See our Refund Policy for details.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your account settings or the billing page. On cancellation you retain access until the end of your current paid period; we do not provide partial-period refunds except as set out above or as required by law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, reproduce, scrape, resell, sublicense or redistribute any part of the Service or its content;
- share your account or login with any other person;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
- use automated means to access the Service except as we expressly permit; or
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Question-bank protection. You must not systematically extract, download, record, reproduce, compile, distribute, publish or create derivative works from any question bank, mock examination, explanation, scenario, image or educational content available through the Service. Any attempt to recreate a competing product or database from the Service is strictly prohibited.
7. Account monitoring & integrity
We may monitor account activity to detect account sharing, automated access, content extraction or other misuse. We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear to be used by multiple individuals or in breach of these Terms. This monitoring is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
All questions, explanations, software, text, graphics and other materials in the Service (excluding third-party content and your own inputs) are owned by Odontiq or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own exam preparation. No other rights are granted.
9. Intellectual-property complaints
If you believe content available through the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at hello@odontiq.com.au with sufficient information to investigate the claim. We may remove or disable access to disputed content while the matter is reviewed.
10. Educational use only — no professional advice or guarantee
Odontiq is an educational tool. Its content, including AI-generated explanations, is provided for study purposes only and does not constitute clinical, dental, medical, legal or professional advice. Always verify clinical information against current Australian guidelines and authoritative sources, and apply your own professional judgement. We do not guarantee any particular result, including that you will pass the ADC examination.
While we endeavour to maintain accurate and up-to-date educational content, dentistry, medicine, legislation, regulations and professional guidelines may change over time. You are responsible for verifying information against current authoritative sources.
11. AI features
Some features (such as the AI Tutor) use third-party AI models to generate responses. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied upon as a substitute for authoritative sources or professional judgement. Do not enter confidential patient information or personal health information into AI features. How AI is used, and how your AI interactions are handled, is described in our AI Usage Policy.
12. Privacy
Our collection, storage and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time from your account settings or via our account-deletion page, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including hosting, authentication, payments, email, analytics and AI). Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is accurate, complete or current.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Odontiq will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded (including under the Australian Consumer Law), our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or refunding the fees you paid for the relevant period. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Odontiq against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, except to the extent caused by us.
18. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
